iPhone 5 to have edge to edge 4 inch screen
If this image is what it claims to be, the front glass of iPhone 5, then you can expect iPhone 5 to have an edge to edge 4+ inch screen with a noticeably thinner bezel. Despite some recent rumors, this front glass panel clearly has a cutout for a Home button. But can this rumor be believed?
My initial reaction was yes, mostly because I want it to be true. But on closer inspection, I’m not convinced this is the exact front glass panel for the iPhone 5. I’m not sure the earpiece cutout is parallel to the screen area. Plus, it would likely be incredibly difficult to pack that much of a screen into a device with that thin of a bezel. I’m not saying it can’t happen, just that I’d be impressed. Adding to my difficulty in accepting this image is its terrible quality to begin with, though that’s to be expected with shaky rumors.
Like I said earlier, I want to believe this rumor, because I think a larger screen would be great. And thanks to Piotrek, you can see what iPhone 5 might look like if the only major visual difference was the increased screen size. You’ll have to ignore the fact that the earpiece and camera aren’t vertically centered on the top bezel, nor the Home button on the lower bezel as the rumored image would suggest. I have to admit, it looks pretty sweet.
All things considered, I’m going to have to say this rumor is unlikely to happen exactly as pictured. I think a larger screen for iPhone 5 may very well be in the works, but I don’t think this is the final design. The real question here is whether Apple would lower the pixel density to keep the same screen resolution, or force developers to support another iOS device resolution should they end up putting a larger screen in iPhone 5.
Apple iPhone – A revolution in Gadget Technology
Apple iPhone – the dynamic inspector gadget
The iPhone, developed by the US based Apple Inc. is not just a mobile phone; it also is a music player, internet device, digital camera and a video player. For its astonishing features and amazing looks, the iPhone was named as the “Invention of the Year” in 2007 by the Time magazine. In a nutshell, specifications of the Apple iPhone are as below:
- Screen size of the phone is 3.5 inches
- Dimensions of the phone is 4.5 x 2.4 x 0.46 inches (115 x 61 x 11.6mm).
- The phone weights 4.8 ounces (135 grams).
- Screen resolution of the phone is 320×480 at 160 ppi.
- It has multi-touch input method.
- The phone iPhone works with Windows XP Home or Professional edition and Windows Vista.
- Storage capacity of the phone varies from 4GB to 8GB.
- The phone supports GSM with 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz Quad-bands.
- The phone has WiFi (802.11b/g) technology incorporated and also supports EDGE and Bluetooth 2.0.
- It has a built-in 2.0 mega pixels camera.
- Battery of the phone supports 16 hours audio playback and up to 5 hours talk/ video/ Internet browsing.
Out of the many extraordinary features, the iPhone is incorporated with visual voicemail feature that allows the users to view the current voicemail message list on the screen. The user can listen to the massages and delete them in a non-chronological order by selecting any message from the list. Furthermore, the mobile phone is smart enough to understand that the users need smooth transformation from listening music to responding a call. Therefore, it automatically fades away the music when the users respond to calls. The music fades back in, once the users end the calls.
The latest electronic gadget comes with a built-in rechargeable battery. In any case, if the battery reaches an end of lifetime; the user can retune the phone to Apple. The company will replace it for free if it still is within the warranty period.
An Apple iPhone can be ordered online at the Carphone Warehouse or from O2 website. Other mobile operators including Orange, t-mobile and Vodafone are not authorized to sell iPhone as they do not have any agreement with the Apple Inc. Having an O2 connection is not bad at all, as it covers 99% area of the country including over 7,000 restaurants, cafés, airport lounges, railway stations and pubs.
In the UK, an Apple iPhone costs about £269.00. If someone wants to buy it on monthly installments, she/he will find many options available at her / his convenience. There are basically three tariff structures to choose from – £35, £45, £55. All of the three are basically 18 months contract, meaning the buyer has to pay back the price within 1.5 years. If the buyer takes the £55 deal, she /he will get 1200 minute talk time and 500 text massages.
If someone wants the mobile phone to act as a music player, internet device, digital camera and a video player at the same time, is the best choice.

Will AppleCare Go To Video Chat?
Popular tech blog Gizmodo is reporting first-hand that video chat may be the future of Apple’s customer service. One of their writers called up 1-888-FACETIME, Apple’s line for testing and setting up the iPhone 4′s FaceTime video chat app, and the CSR on the other end told him that it’s a trial to see if Apple can get away with video chat support.

According to the rep, Apple’s been teasing the idea of video chat support for a while. It’s unclear how exactly this work. If your iPhone was broken – how would you be able to video call? If your iMac was broken, you’ve got to get an iPhone to show the CSR exactly what’s wrong with it? You’re going to have to get dressed up to call the customer service man?
Despite some questions, it has a lot of possibilities. You might be able to show the CSR exactly what your problem is. As we’ve mentioned previously here, although many mobile phones (Nokia’s in particular) have had forward-facing cameras previously, the iFlock is acting like this is the first time they’ve ever seen such a thing and (for better or worse), the FaceTime app should open a lot of minds to video chat.

Outcry fuelled over Suzhou police's public bid for 21 iPhone 4s
The Suzhou police's traffic and patrol department responded to public criticism of its recent bid for 21 iPhone 4s by saying the smart phone model is the only mobile device that meets its video monitoring system's requirements.
The department's deputy political commissar Tao Ren told a news conference on Friday that the 32GB iPhone 4s will be used to create a digitized transportation monitoring system, enabling police to remotely observe scenes before they arrive. He did not reveal when the monitoring system would become operational.
The iPhone 4 is the only device the department could find that is compatible with the high-definition video transfer system with which their patrol cars will be equipped, Tao said, adding the iPhone 4 has a longer recording duration than other mobile devices.
Public criticism of the "extravagant" purchase began when a netizen posted information about the bid on the major domestic Internet forum tianya.cn on Thursday. Many netizens voiced concerns about government organs using taxpayers' money to buy luxury electronic products.
The post revealed all public bidding offers listed on the Suzhou government's website.
"How dare they say only the iPhone 4 can satisfy their work requirements?" a netizen, who goes by Anqilong, wrote on his blog, "What nonsense".
Suzhou traffic and patrol department officials said the iPhone 4s they purchased are part of a two-year contract package, which is "much cheaper than buying standalone mobile devices".
The Suzhou controversy came after the public criticized the proposed purchase of seven iTouch 4s by the government of Fushun city, Liaoning province, on Dec 20. The government said the portable media players would be used for data storage.
The public bid was canceled after the online criticism.
"These events have revealed loopholes in government procurement procedures," Fudan University media research professor Zhou Baohua said.

iPhone 5 Unveiling Expected Today
iPhone 5 is likely to be revealed by Apple later today, some 15 months after the company unveiled the last iPhone. The company has announced a major product reveal will take place Tuesday at 10am (PST) / 1pm (EST).
For the first time in many years, it won’t be Steve Jobs and his lovely turtle neck sweater presenting an Apple product launch – instead, we’ll be seeing newly appointed CEO Tim Cook on stage at Apple’s headquarters. Jobs resigned from Apple on August 24th.
While the iPhone 5 has not been confirmed by the company, evidence for a new model is overwhelmingly strong. Invites to the event were sent out last week with a “Let’s talk iPhone” tagline, and the timing – just before the vital holiday shopping season – seems appropriate. The increasing strength of competitors such as Samsung will also have spurred Apple.
So what to expect from a new iPhone? William Power, analyst with Baird Equity Research, thinks he knows:
“We expect improved processing power and camera capabilities, with a potential bump in RAM, though that may not be needed with iCloud. Various sources have suggested that Apple will debut more robust voice control functionality.”
Power also predicted a thinner, faster, larger-screened look.
Alternatively, some on Wall Street expect a cheaper model designed to penetrate the rapidly growing Asian market. In just under nine hours, we’ll know for sure. Will you be tuning in to watch Apple’s big announcement?
iPhone 4S To Have Integrated SIM, iPhone 5 Coming Spring 2012

A report by Macotakara has popped up suggesting that the iPhone 4S will carry an A5 dual core chip, an 8MP camera and will have an integrated SIM card. Whilst the iPhone 5 will launch in 2012
According to macrumors, macotakara a chinese blog says:
According to an anonymous source, this reported product by DigiTimes is improved model of iPhone 4 on same form factor, and uses ARM Cortex-A9 chip as CPU, but it is not confirmed whether this model has single CPU or with dual CPU’s.
While Macotakara clearly states it believes this unreleased device will carry Apple’s A5 processor, it also notes that it is so far unclear whether or not this processor will be dual-core, as seen in the iPad 2.
Macotakara also claims that iPhone 4S will be SIM-Less. If you remember in past we told you about that Apple is working on some new SIM-Cards and they will implement this new thing in their upcoming iPhone.
As you probably know, Apple has been working for years on reducing the size of SIM cards because they need space in the phone. They even thought about a device without any SIM card, that is what is known as the e-SIM project.
All of us told them it was a bad idea because the SIM card is a critical piece of the security and authentication process. It would be very difficult for a telco or carrier to manage the customer relationship. I think that they understood this point. We had a very constructive exchange and dialogue with them.
Unfortunately, for those who may be waiting on Apple’s next, major iPhone redesign, this report places “iPhone 5″ with a release of next Spring. But it’s not all bad news. If true, this could mean Apple’s rumored September iPhone launch may just be the result of Apple trying to catch up this year, versus them actually changing their iPhone release schedule to September.

Apple today announced that it has sold over 1.7 million of its iPhone 4 through Saturday, June 26, just three days after its launch on June 24. Photos Of Partially Assembled iPhone 4s iPhone 5 Leak!

MacPost acquired leaked photos of an iPhone 4s prototype all torn apart, its entrails dragged out from within its body. (See the gory photo above.)
This purported iPhone 4s looks much like a white iPhone 4, though MacPost says it features the new A5 chip and a "similar form factor." The iPhone 4s is rumored to be the cheaper of the two iPhones supposedly being released by Apple this year, a lower-cost version of the iPhone 4 for budget shoppers. Head over to MacPost for more pictures of the iPhone 4s prototype in all its disembowelled glory.
How do we know the iPhone 5 is coming soon? Sources, of course. All of these sources had been anonymous, however, until one big, famous, Vice Presidential, lockbox-y man came forward with an iPhone 5 rumor of his own...

iPhone 5 Release Date Event in 14 Days Says Apple Rep
Apple typically spans about two and a half weeks from new iPhone announcement to release date, so expect Friday October 21st as the most likely on-sale target. If there’s sufficient initial inventory to allow it, online preorders will begin about a week before that date, but may be cut off quickly if demand proves to be so high that the preorders risk cutting into retail launch day inventory. Then on the 21st (or the night before, if Apple opts for an early morning launch), lines will form at retailers ranging from Apple Stores and carrier stores to electronics stores like Radio Shack and Best Buy, and we’ll soon find out just how much iPhone 5 inventory Apple really has on hand.

Here’s more on the iPhone 5.

iPhone 5 Release Date 15th October
iPhone 5 Release Date 15th October : When is the iPhone 5 coming out? That’s probably a question many are dying to know the answer to, and so far based on the rumors in the past, we’ve come across dates such as vague as “end of September” to “early October”, and more specific dates such as October 7th and October 21st, but now for those tracking the release of the iPhone 5, October 15th is another date you may want to mark down on your calendars.
France Telecom’s CEO Stéphane Richard has reportedly come out and said:“If I believe what we heard, the iPhone 5 will be released on October 15.”We can imagine Apple won't be particularly happy about that, but the CEO of Orange might have just spilled the beans on the availability of the iPhone 5. He said that if he believes what he hears, the next iPhone will be out by 15th October on his network.

Earlier today, we also heard an interesting rumor about the availability of the iPhone 5 in the UK. This information, however, comes from O2's customer service center so it's a bit harder to believe. And there's little sense in Apple releasing the smartphone in France, before they bring it to UK, so it's unlikely that both of those are true at the same time. So, if the iPhone 5 is to come in the middle of next month we should be looking for its announcement event to be scheduled for the end of September. That nicely coincides with the rumor that iOS 5 will be getting its Gold Master release on September 23th.Yeah, the waiting is killing us too, but at least we know its end is finally nearing.Source
